I remember on one episode where Laurie mentioned that she was 17, and I was honestly
stunned at how very old that was.
Here's a few more I thought of.....
- Swine Flu shots
(for my fellow sisters)Did anyone else love the bandLoverboy? My friends & I were absolutely crazy about them in the early 80's I guess.

Ha! I remember using Green Stamps to buy an AM transistor radio in the early 1970s. I read once that Jackie O had never heard of Green Stamps until someone discussed it with her -- and she became fanatical about collecting them! Talk about out of touch! How could you go through daily life without buying groceries? Oops... oh, yeah ... I doubt she shopped at Safeway very much. LOL.

Now that you mention it, I do remember something like that. We had the same taste in cereal, too. That Freaky stuff, or whatever. I have never found anyone else who remembered it.
See ya'll over at thread three.

I have unpleasant memories of "older" boomers (about five to seven years older than me) who were protesting or otherwise acting indecently in the streets of San Francisco.
Speed Racer was on TV at 4 o'clock every day, and afterwards the Monkees and the Partridge Family. I liked the mom the best. The Brady Bunch wasn't on until 8.
Favorite shampoo: Dark Green Clairol's Herbal Essence, and Yucca Dew.
Oh, and Michael Jackson still had his nose!

Now when I was young, I used to dream about one day owning a Pacer, SO COOL! I thought I was the only one! How wonderful to find a soulmate!

Remember when Mary Hartman had an affair with Dennis Foley -- in his hospital bed!!

See now, I'm with the other guy..I'm considered Gen-X, probably firmly gen-x at that(1970) but I remember TABS on cans that came off. My mom used to hate when we put them back in the can and you could find a dozen or more of them crushed in the street;-)
I think the main difference is I don't remember tv shows and some of the music mentioned here. By the time I can remember tv I watched Scooby Doo for cartoons and the Waltons for primetime. I remember hearing the music for Dallas and Knots Landing which I was NOT allowed to watch--LOL--even though my mom had no qualms with me sitting next to her during an episode of Y&R. LOL
My husband is an in between though(1961)
