Americans,
We've been saturated with the horrible images of September 11, yet now the images are starting to fade as we get on with our lives.
But, we can't afford to forget. Our enemy is still out there. He wants us complacent. He wants to catch us cold again. The coming war on terrorism may well last for years. The cost in lives, both military and civilian, will likely be very high. The gains may not be very spectacular or heartening. We'll naturally tend to forget and grow weary of the fight; We'll shrink from the pain and question what we're doing. We'll need something to help us remember. the rest of the article
we got carried away in hijacking dr no's thread so, i wanted to get back to the subject at hand in all fairness.
But, FN has manufacturing plant in Columbia so Kelleher recently got to put belt through a cut down M249 (.223) and also got his picture in Small Arms Review (Vol 1 #6)trying out M240 (.308)so don't feel too sorry for him.
FYI, South Carolina just joined rank of Class III states when Gov. signed new law few weeks ago. If you see Dr. Allen Kirchner at the Creek, he's the guy to thank for this.
Seems like though the Twin Towers Salute isn't going anywhere which is too bad, we're going to need it come January/February when the body politic's adrenaline wears out. Peaceniks are already gearing up and it'll be a shame to lose this war like we did Vietnam by people at home losing heart.
We'll try and keep it alive if we can.
