A lot of Protestants, let alone Catholics, would give Angelica a hearty amen on the changes that would be good for America. One niggling little detail however: we can't put the battle against Islamic terrorism on hold while we wait the political cycles to get air headed liberals out of power, especially those in lifetime judicial seats.

Will Mother Angelica get the same thrashing that Falwell did?
Your opinion...

Honestly, I don't think she will. She is more respected (in some quarters) and less prominent. The main stream media will likely ignore this because she is not as easy to ridicule as Falwell, and she said what she said much better having seen the fallout of Falwell's off the cuff remarks earlier.
Finally, too many already think, in the back of their mind, Falwell's words were right but the way he said it wrong. Mother Angelica is wiser than Falwell in the way she said it.

I agree. There is a big difference between blaming our domestic terrorists for the WTC, and saying we also need to get rid of our domestic terrorists while we get rid of the foreign terrorists. Mother Angelica bump.

Will Mother Angelica get the same thrashing that Falwell did?Great question, the exact one I was thinking myself. When people are a little bit hypocritical, it makes it convenient to go after them; but the underlying reason for the contrived media-pushed wave of disapproval is an underlying hatred of God and of Christians. It is always politically correct to excoriate American Christians. Since she has not yet been so marginalized as a hypocrite by the media, she is not so convenient a target, and she will not get hit with the same (ironically even more hypocritical) anger.

She won't because she didn't mention the massive sacred cow of the left at the moment - that being the homo-nazi movement. They are not worth directly mentioning anyway. They can feel quite comfortable in the 'immoral' category.

Mother has some sort of a nerve problem in her face which developed last week. My physician wife describes it as "Bell's palsy," a temporary paralysis of one of the cranial nerves. She (wife) further said that Mother has to wear the eyepatch because her eye is taped shut; otherwise she could not close it and it would dry out and ulcerate.
I have no idea what you mean by her being "empathic" to terrorists. I think you should retract your comment, because it strikes me as highly disrespectful to a good and decent American religious leader.

Thoughts? You don't want to hear my thoughts.
Any chance we can have this poster banned for inferring Mother Angelica, a highly respected Christian leader, is empathetic with evil and Islamic fundamentalist terrorists?

Whether alethia retracted his/her statement (#12), the good folks here took it down regardless. Its good to see they are being vigilant.

With all due respect, my dear Watson, I'll throw mine in with the "nutcase and freak" Mother Angelica any day, before I join someone like you who would say such things about such a great Christian woman. You are morally and spiritually blind if you confuse "freedom" with "license" (license: 3 a : freedom that allows or is used with irresponsibility b : disregard for standards of personal conduct : LICENTIOUSNESS)
To: proud2bRC
Our moral terpitude goes a long way in explaining why we accepted Bill "Asleep at the Switch" Clinton as President for eight years, allowing our defense and intelligence-gathering agencies to become lax.
To: proud2bRC
You live how you want to live, and I'll do the same. If you don't like this idea why don't you go "purge" yourself from America along with "Mother".
