To: CCWoody; any other self-styled prophets out there
When there is no evidence to the contrary, Woody must be right.

You asked for it, here you go:

Christ came to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. That job being accomplished, he now " Sit on [God the Father's] right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."

Now our call is to serve Christ. And here are the calls to that effect:

Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear

Revelation 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Looks to me like we're the ones to be serving God. And this is no great thing on our part-- its our "reasonable" service according to Romans 12:2. You think we'll be served by Christ post-Rapture?? I don't think so....

Serve him how? What can you possibly do for him after the marriage feast? What will it mean for us to serve Him in that time?

Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' Hill and said, "Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription: `To the Unknown God'. Whom therefore ye worship in ignorance, Him I declare unto you. God who made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands. Neither is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.
What can your hands do to serve Him in that time?
If I were hungry I would not tell thee, for the world is Mine and the fullness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? "Offer unto God thanksgiving, and pay thy vows unto the Most High, and call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me."
In this passage, we see that the saint serves God by offering thanksgiving, paying vows, and calling upon Him. We get the help and He gets the Glory.
Still Servant at the Second Coming!

Even in His glory at the close of the age, this is true, and not just in the days of his earthly humiliation. To me the Bible's most astonishing image of Christ's second coming is in XXXXXXXXX (passage omitted), which pictures the return of XXXXXXXXX [Jesus] from a marriage feast.

To be sure, we are called servants - and that no doubt means we are to do exactly as we are told. But the wonder of this picture is that the Master insists on "serving" even in the age to come when he appears in all his glory...

John Piper from Desiring God.

So, even John Piper agrees with me. I guess that everybody will be heading over to desiringGOD.org to see if they can find the passage. I've already given it a casual glance and I didn't see it, but I found a very interesting 2 part sermon on being served by God...
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, besides thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him. Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember Thee in Thy ways. Behold, Thou art wroth, for we have sinned; in those is continuance, and we shall be saved. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is none that calleth upon Thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of Thee; for Thou hast hid Thy face from us, and hast consumed us because of our iniquities. But now, O LORD, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our potter; and we all are the work of Thy hand.
So, we can also see that God works for those who wait on Him. He is the Great Workman. And, FYI, the Bible agrees with the vision given to me by God. It is plainly revealed in the Word. Christ will come and he will serve those who wait on Him just as the vision God gave me and just as the Bible says.

So, GWB, can you find the passage?
