Just to test how firmly held your beliefs are, what would you say if the Lord answered one or two -- or perhaps all -- of these questions in the negative?
Would you argue with Him and try to convince Him He was wrong?
Or would you just turn your back on Him
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I've had a couple unwarranted nasty responses but you win the silly response award. I knew you'd come through for me.
It will only take a minute. I truly would like to see your answers. Are you up for it?

Thanks for putting up the link to the Juanita video. Our own Registered arranged to have that done. I sent it to about 70 of the chapter heads of NOW asking for help for a rape victim and only got two replies. One actually was concerned and one accused me of just being a Clinton hater. (Little does she know.)

I think the Esquire photo was not directed at the military, but at those he considered the dreaded right wingers.

I'll ask again. Have I done something to you or said something to you that I don't remember?

Post #52 They are in total denial. Party is more important to them than the country. I, too, was once a democrat, but the issues and country were more important than being a dem. So, now I'm a Repub. and I've never looked back. I see now that the Rep. are the party of common sense. (and no, I'm not trying to be teacher's pet or get extra credit) So, which is worse? Being a newbie or someone who was once a dem.?

11 - [ ]yes [ ] no - Bill Clinton pardoned terrorists and other criminals.
12 - [ ]yes [ ] no - Bill Clinton allowed at least 10 million illegal aliens into the U.S. between the years 1992 and 2000.

Oil man?!
Do they really say that? About Cheney or Bush or both? I think that's inspired! It's so much better than their usual fare. C'mon Doug, lighten up. Give the Devil his due. (Or is it that it's so late at night that I'm giddy, and my expectations of those guys are so low?)

my impression of that photo is that it was his attitude toward the whole world, and some knelt between his legs and some didn't. I heard 3 women journalists on one show argue about which one should have 'monica's job', each one wanting it.

Absolutely you get extra credit. What can you tell us about your dad's Iwo Jima experience? He was a Navy Corpsman (Pharmacist's Mate Second Class) with the Fourth Marine Division/Fourth Medical Battalion. He was helping wounded Marines when a mortar shell hit and killed his stretcher partner - and badly wounded three of the six on his medical team. Dad was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down when shrapnel impacted/entered near his spine, and spent eight hours unable to move in the sand before evac. (If you know much about Iwo, you can imagine what that was like!) His first cousin - one of his best friends - was a Marine (5th/28th) who was KIA on Iwo Jima on D+12.
I'm pretty proud of my dad, and I have the deepest respect for all veterans of Iwo Jima.
Thank you for asking, and thanks for the extra credit. :)

Neither is worse. I'm not attacking Newbies. We welcome new conservatives to this forum. We even welcome those who disagree but if they come here just to shill for the RATS, I cetainly don't want to talk to them.
I've said it before here. In my youth, I actually voted for Jimmy Carter. It was a reaction to my being incensed that Ford pardoned Nixon. Nixon abused the office and fortunately did the right thing by resigning. My first vote was for Nixon.

Thanks for sharing that. We're proud of your dad too. I'm proud of my son-in-law right now who is on the USS ENTERPRISE, our first nuclear carrier. It looks like they are pretty busy right about now.

Yep, they think oil man is pretty clever. They also call him AWOL Bush, President Select, etc. The losers don't want to accept what happened. They can't believe they were not successful in stealing an election.

God bless him, Doug. Next time you talk to him, please extend my thanks for his service.

"Darwin may have theorized
"...the downfall of man will be from the lack of a natural preditor to protect our gene pool."... But Jerry Springer "proved" it! and now we got Slick Willy!!!"---
FatsOmak -1992This has been an entertaining read.
My position?
We want to believe our elected officials have our best interest at heart and will not abuse the power they have. (the bubble). Unfortunately evidence to the contrary periodically raises its pointy little head and bursts the bubble. My bubble on Clinton burst with the indication of his desire to take advantage of the fact that some people have thick bubbles over their heads when he said, "I didn't inhale!!!!!" This told me his political motives were selfish and all his choices would be filtered for Willy FIRST, America second. The obsurdity that he still has supporters is testiment to the existance of bubbles that are so thick that they have become blackholes. Blackholes that these supporters have accessed through spinal inversion with cheeks spread wide. Proud to be a vet
