I fight oppresive forces. I will end this by saying that I fight all oppresive forces, be they the Taliban, the CIA, or capitalism."You must make an example of these people. (1) Hang (I mean hang publicly, so that people see it) at least 100 kulaks, rich bastards, and known bloodsuckers....Yours, Lenin." --Order to Cheka (predecessor of the KGB)
"Excellent idea! That's exactly how I see it. Unfortunately, it wouldn't do to call it that." --Replying to his Commisar of Justice who asked: "What is the point of a People's Commissariat for Justice? ... It would be more honest to have a People's Commissariat for Social Extermination."
Right on. The "peace march" in Denver gathered in a park next to my son's soccer game. They were about 100, a tenth of what they "estimated." The speaker I heard ridiculed the idea that a free country necessarily includes a free economy, free markets. These people are the same socialists and fellow travelers who wanted us to lose the cold war. Notice how effortlessly anti-globalization protests have been coverted into "peace" protests??
