Actually, I disagree with property distruction because it gives the corporate media something to use against us.

But not because breaking something that doesn't belong to you is wrong?

Busting up the windows of Nike town is only wrong because it gives the media something to put on the evening news.

It's not wrong because those windows don't belong to you?

Two wrongs don't make a right.

You're right hype sells.

Fear sells, so journalism sells fear. Fear of the Taliban. Fear of the Communists. Fear of flying. Fear of burning a piece of coal. Fear of Coca Cola distributors and Buick dealers.

There was a man who cut through the fear-hype like a laser beam. Amazingly enough, he got to be President of the United States--Ronald Reagan.

Yep a a former anarchist I do aprove of violence, thankfully I no longer apply it to the wrong cause.

As far as foreign policy, I do think we should stop funding Isreal, but also Egypt, the PLO, the Taliban, and everyone else in this world. i also think we should close the border. However, any threat to this country whether it's terrorist or state sanctioned has to be delt with with an overwhelming response. This attitute of "lets all hug" is bullsh!t, people who perpetrate these actions only understand one thing, power, to stop them you must crush them.

The fact that Starbucks gets its coffee from underpaid and overworked plantation workers is wrong.

Of course it is, once you have defined them to be "underpaid and overworked." But the "minimum wage" laws are pure hype. The minimum wage is and always has been the same - $0.00 Because you don't get paid if you don't have a job.

And if the "minimum wage" is set above what we are worth, you nor I nor anyone else has a job--and we get the real minimum: nothing.

I've been reading posts here for a while and I've noticed that whenever people (like breed) state facts or personal opinions whose mere existance threatens the cookie-cutter 'christian conservative' ethos they are either completely ignored or a slew of antagonists will resort to personal attacks... For all the rhetoric that is spewed about the alleged evils of dogmatic 'leftist' ideology one would think those opposed to such would be more open-minded.

There should be no comparison to Flt93. We did help in making sure these hereos are not forgotten.

#208, thread 1

Those heroes became true Minutemen, forming a militia on a few minutes' notice and, with bare hands, defending Washington from a vicious attack. Their honor should last with the Republic.

And yet. It is true that the loss suffered by the heroes of Flt 93 is on a different scale, but those heroes knew that they could not choose to live, only how to die. They did not seek the situation out, they responded nobly where they stood. This (or any) Freep may not be life or death, but still it constitutes the heroism of seeing a duty and doing it when you could have taken your ease at home.

Is it not for that that you have received so many thanks? And deservedly so.

The fact that Nike, Starbucks, and other related scum profit from the backs of teenage girls in the Third World is wrong.

The problem you have is that the world is not a nice place. If these kids didn't work at these low paying jobs, they wouldn't have ANY job at all. If you destroy NIKE and STARBUCKS you put these poor people out on the streets and in the third world, if you don't have a job you starve to death.

It is the Capitalists in America and the World that create the wealth to give us in America a surplus so that we can give to charities to help these people. You want to see what your communism has wrought, I suggest you take a close look at the Soviet Union. And don't just hang around the Kremlin. Go out into the back streets and see the poverty, misery and pollution that Central Government planning foists upon a society.

When you get back from a trip to some of these miserable third world countries I guarantee you will kiss the very ground that you despise now. Capitalism is our only hope and right now we in America are their only hope.

It is easy to be idealistic when you are young. It doesn't cost you anything and your parents are around to bail you out.
