Iran Assembling Arab Coalition Against Action Against Afghanistan

Kevin Tibble of MSNBC just reported inside of Eygpt that Iran is assembling an Arab coalition to oppose any United States actions against Afghanistan and the Taliban. Reportedly Mubarak has met with Iran and is signing off on such a position. The Arab coalition will contend that unless such action is under the auspices of the United Nations then it is illegitimate.

United Muslims of America could only function in this society. And yet, they use that freedom against us.

Persian people are Aryan which is a fact that amusing when you consider the Aryan Nation.

Including Iran and Syria in this 'remedy for terrorism' is just part of the CFR's long-term New World Order strategy. See: http://www.jbs.org/reviewonline/index.htm -listen to 'The Problem and the Anecdote' audiofile The JBS is a broken record. I could recycle columns from years ago, do a little cutting and pasting, and echo some of the garbage they churn out to their zombie-readers today.
When you've got a hammer, everything's a nail.

We don't need a coalition. It's not necessary in this situation.
During the Gulf War the U.N. passed a Resolution against Iraq for attacking it's arrogant, puny, unprepared neighbor (Q8). Since the U.N. doesn't (thank God) have a military of it's own, it was up to the world (America, Britain and whoever would follow) to do the deed.
This time the attack was on us. The U.N. is speaking volumes in it's silence. But who needs them?
If my neighbor sucker-punches me I don't go door to door like a sissy wimp loser looking for people to stand beside me.
I get up, grab a ball bat and knock the p*ck*rs teeth into orbit.
(But I'd still like to know if any of the neighbors supported that sucker-punch)
I assume that GW is not really looking for a coalition. He's probably just finding out who will stand with us (who we can trust) and who will allow bases and fly-overs.

Good point. I overheard an Iranian mention in conversation that "Persia ends where camels begin..."

Why would IRAN--a non-Arab nation--be heading up such a coalition? Either you didn't hear this right, or it's bunk.

Thanks for the info and the chart- I didn't have time to search for a numerical breakdown on the various sects of Islam.

..It was in 1957 that my first employer screamed at me,"We are not in the truth business Dummy, We are in the NEWS business..." I have never forgotten it. Boy is that real. Truth will only matter when it sells papers.

No, I was thinking of the ACCA Temple (Shriners), actually. It was a lame attempt at humor that didn't work, so I will not consider leaving my day job.

Iran isn't an Arab nation. Correct. Iranians are Persians. Their language is Farsi. Makes you wonder about how smart you have to be to be an MSNBC reporter.

30 years ago Anwar Sadat was assassinated because he made peace with Israel. Mubarak took over from Sadat.
Yes, I know that. But it wasn't quite thirty years ago. I remember the t.v. news coverage about it. And I'm 28.
Mubarak has fought the radical militants in his country this whole time. His country's enemy within.
He might have to give lip service to sedate some of the militants until the world can take care of them after bin laden and saddam.
With Iraq war, I guess Iraq was only a liability for him if that. Iraq was trying to pull Israel into the conflict while Mubarak was trying to avoid getting into another war with Israel. That's my take on it anyway.
I don't care what he says as much as I care what he and his country as a whole do.
Sure, makes sense. I think he's voiced irritation with the U.S. for making demands of him so often. He may still be smarting from the time when Reagan diverted an Egyptian airliner carrying some of the Achille Lauro (?) terrorists. He sort of sticks out like a sore thumb though.
Mubarak is a friend to the US as is King Abdullah of Jordan. I don't think they'll let us down even if they have to give a bit of lip service to calm the terrorists and enemies of their countries.
I think the difference is that Abdullah owes his reign to the U.S. because we fought off one or two attempts to depose his predecessor. Not sure if that's been the case with Mubarak. He's been good at staying in power though.
Iraq is predominatly Sunni Moslem, I believe.
Except for the north.
That's why after Desert Storm he attacked his Kurds in the north and his minority shia'a muslims in the south. I don't think the Sunni Moslems are really with saddam but that they are afraid of him and haven't been able to overthrow him. saddam is one crazy nut.
No shortage of them, unfortunately.

I would be nervous about eating anything in an Islamic eatery in NYC. Those morons can poison the food, and also smear feces or urine in it.

Iran may not be ethnically Arabic, but they have the mindset of much of the Arab World (much like Pakistan).

hey! there is a great Iranian doctor there that works at a major prestigous hospital in LA that helped me alot summer of 2000, with a nasty long bout of atypical trigeminal neuralgia :))
I will always remember his help and kindness. :)) He has a Beverely Hills practice too, that he opened up on a Sunday morn, the morn after he and his family had come home from a family vacation. :))
I don't know too many people that would do that to help a poor out of state person.
He even reduced his rates drastically for me since I have no insurance.
