Certain combat veterans of Vietnam already encountered these type of bunkers and vanquished most of their inhabitants -- the guys who did it were called "tunnel rats". I'm certain our armed forces have men who are just as ready to take on the successors to the NVA in their ratholes.

We have some really cool gasses which are
heavier than air to cope with civil-engineering
strongholds.. although I am sure we also have personnel
trained specifically for such ops.
All of whom, I am sure, are chomping at the bit to
go in and exterminate the rats in their holes.
