Other than matching up with Scripture and prayerful discernment, I think Love and humility as attitudes--or lack thereof--are good clues.

And, what is the focus, the result and WHO GET'S THE GLORY.

And there are some very time limited assertions in some of the above that will be very interesting to watch in the coming 18 months. . . . some fairly dramatic things. We shall see.

I haven't yet seen modern prophets hit it nearly as well as I believe God is going to enable them to. Perhaps this could be such a beginning. I don't know. Hope so.
