On Vieques, the site of frequent protests against the Navy's presence, "we were truly able to master our craft," said 1st Lt. Troy Hadsall, air support element officer-in-charge. "My Marines gained immeasurable experience and now exude the quiet confidence that I expect," Hadsall said. "I tell my guys not to be concerned about the unknown," said Sgt. Robert Guzman, a bulk fuel specialist. "Most of them are 18 and 19 years old, and I'm on my second enlistment," Guzman said.
"It's a bit scary sometimes, not knowing what you'll do tomorrow or the next day," he added. "But there comes a time when you remember why you're here and that is to do a job."
Vieques. Wasn't that the place that Hillary! and DNC Chief Terry McWaffle were trying to shut down a mere few weeks ago? If I remember, they didn't have any viable alternatives and were basically telling the Marine Crops to "eat cake".

On behalf of 4 little girls, ages 8,6,4,2, who will never again cuddle with their daddy - because he was murdered as he tried to save people at WTC - I say thank you to the US Military with all my heart for the battle they face. My cousin's husband, Vinny Giammona, NYC Fireman, LT. with Ladder Co. 5, will never see his beloved daughters grow up. For all the children who will never kiss their parents again, THANK YOU for standing up for them and defending their future. And to all you anti-war protesters, come to the mass this Wed. in Valley Stream, NY, and look at the faces of 4 little girls who will never ride on their daddy's shoulders again... I dare you

Please remember my brother Marines in your prayers today and everyday. And if you would like to help please go to www.opsos.org and find a penpal. There is no better morale booster than for a combat Marine to receive mail and I can tell you from my own personal experience that there are many Marines who don't receive mail. God bless. All the best to the Marines. Just remember that your foe is no rookie player as well. These guys are hardened warriors as well, with lots of real battle experience.

Bring it on... That would make a great T-shirt.
I bet the WWF will adopt it as a catch-phrase (they already use "Just bring it...") soon.

"As part of what the Marines call the nation's "911 Force," Lt. Col. Jerome Lynes, commander of the 3rd Battalion, 6th Regiment, said his troops were ready for any mission." On 9-11, when the innocent victims of the Islamic extremists cowardly atrocities dialed 911, a nation of 300 million answered the call.
When the Marines come over the hill, or land on the beach, the brethren of those animals won't have anyone to help them...the line will be dead.
"Our motto as a battalion landing team is, 'Bring it on,' said Lynes, of Bridgewater, N.J. 'They will show the world our American resolve.'
He said that the Marines' focus 'hasn't changed since Sept. 11, but we will carry in our hearts our national loss and stand ready to do something about it.'"
Suggested reading material for our heroes in uniform?...any pictures or stories from 9-11.
I almost pity those who end up facing our boys...almost...
