ANYTHING that pushes on the trigger will fire it, branch, key, pen, holster, etc..

Yikes, I was thinking of a Glock for ccw, but not if the trigger will fire that easy! Help, now what do I get?

If you don't fancy the Glock trigger, don't be discouraged. There are many other action designs available. Get what works for you. My favorite "all arounder" is a three-inch S&W model 66. Damn difficult to top the handling characteristics of that particular Magnum revolver. With a couple of Bianchi speed-strips in my weakside front pocket, I face the day with confidence.

If you know a decent gunsmith that can slick up revolver triggers, Ruger would be a good choice also. From the factory, Ruger triggers are profane. Indestructable guns, just horrible triggers. Very economical. If you fancy an autoloader, Colt is currently producing some of the finest 1911s since their glory days. They have recently dropped the "M1991A1" series and replaced it with the old "Colt Government Model" rollmarkings. My recent production Colt is an exeptional display of old-world craftsmanship. Colt is back! Get one before the secret's out.

"ANYTHING that pushes on the trigger will fire it, branch, key, pen, holster, etc.. "

If you have a quality holster that covers the trigger guard, and you are properly trained in the basics (like keeping finger off the trigger until ready to shoot), the Glock is fine.

ive owned 2 glocks for roughly 7 years. im not sure why anyone is letting "items" depress the trigger. it is after all the TRIGGER. its function is to fire the weapon. branches??? keys??? holsters??? just how are these people carrying their weapons?????? anyway just depressing the tab on the trigger will not fire the weapon or at least it wont on either of mine. you must fully depress the trigger. for those that feel like the trigger pull is too light there is a modification available ...think its called the NY trigger ...basically a heavier pull is required to discharge the gun.
i like glocks cause they are SIMPLE and very rugged and i dont give a flying F what the gun looks like. i dont have 15 other "safety" devices to fumble with. i just use the simple rules of handling a firearm to guide my conduct. such as.....dont put your finger on the trigger unless you are ready to fire the weapon.
