you said it..the dots connect...what else are we supposed to make of our two best arab allies in the middle east, Saudi Arabia and UAE recognizing the Taliban govt during the Clinton years..They wanted Saudi Arabia and UAE to continue to recognize the Taliban who protected bin laden.. Saudi Arabia provided the financing.. The Taliban doesn't have the money to feed their goats..

And from another thread circulating as we type:
France condiders weapons sales to Syria:

Industry sources said French contractors have been given the green light to probe the sale of weapons as well as defensive systems to the regime of President Bashar Assad. They said Paris has been searching for opportunities to sell weapons throughout the Arab world. The assertion by industry sources came amid plans by the United States to offer Iran and Syria military aid in an effort to woo them over to a Washington-led coalition against terrorism. Industry sources, however, said the French effort is not connected to the Sept. 11 Islamic suicide attacks on New York and Washington.

Insanity. It's like the guy at the other end of the bar just hit me with a beer bottle and he's threatening to smear me all over the street. So I try to sell him a pair of brass knucks in the hopes he'll be my friend. If our leaders want to preserve any semblance of validity or patriotic duty this kind of BS has got to stop. It again begs the question of how these dots really connect.

Am I paranoid? The real question there is "Am I paranoid enough?".
