Poor Larry most be almost broke by now.

God willing, his pretentious, non-journalistic (anti-journalistic!) butt will be broke after he's had a few good lawsuits to pay out!! Sheesh. What a maroon!!

When was the bio originally filmed? Has it been updated since 9/11, if it was before then? They do run "old" bios from time to time, and don't always update them. Just curious.

"In light of holocaust visited upon this nation, this isn't "business as usual," as the principals mentioned in this story are very well aware."
There's a comprehension Refusal going on now that the "correct party" is in the WH. Those that refuse to acknowledge that their team is part of the Big Team that has only one goal, the elimination of Nationalism, are what allow the progress to be made. Minnows swimming in a cluster/school that can feed the bigger fish.

There's just the usual collection of Globalist bottomfeeders that swarm around companies like Carlyle. Nice company the Bush "family" associates with, huh?-----

"Bob Grady, a bureaucrat-turned-venture capitalist, started out working at the gubernatorial and congressional level, became the chief speechwriter and senior adviser for the 1988 Bush-Quayle campaign, and then served in that administration's Office of Management and Budget. He now counts himself among the heavy hitters at the Carlyle Group, where he is a partner and managing director in venture capital. (Carlyle is headed by former Defense Secretary Frank Carlucci, who has recruited several ex-Reagan and Bush staffers, including former Secretary of State James Baker and past budget chief Richard Darman. Billionaire financier George Soros and members of the Mellon family are also partners.) Grady also gave $9,000 to various federal campaigns in the past two years, $1,000 of that directly to Bush."

The bush bashers are reemerging after the "revolting" (to them) display of support for our president in a time of crisis.

Is it really all about Bush for you? I can have every respect for the Office of the President and (as usual) no particular feelings for Bush the man and STILL criticize his administration's decisions ... particularly that of Ashcroft to model this so-called "War on Terrorism" on the oh-so-successful "War on Drugs".

As for "moral authority", I will reconsider granting same to the President of the United States once he rethinks his direct contravention of our founding documents ("all men are CREATED equal") by his Scripture-laden defense of federal funding to perpetuate and legitimize ECSR on "already been killed" human beings created, not equal, but for Research and Profit.

Thanks, ratcat, for the flag! I have definitely saved this thread to my hard drive!

AG, using this flag to you to also say prayers are still going up for your sister.

I don't need to call Klayman. If he HAD anything, you can bet he would have produced it with this stupid press release.

I thought The Guild was supposed to be an INVESTIGATIVE GROUP. Either I'm mistaken or you can't be bothered. Sorry to disturb you.

Irma, SLJP...maybe you'd care to make the call? Mr. Klayman happens to be an acquaintance of mine, and I happen to like him. I admit my bias.

Of course, Mr. Klayman has criticized the President of whom you are extraordinarily supportive, so you have a bias too. (If everyone can just be more honest about their biases, I think we'd all get along better, even if we disagree...heh! Agreed? **g**)

So...Irma, SLJP...care to live up to The Guild's declaration of being an investigative body? Put da money where da mouth is, so to speak? You can post old press releases till the cows come home (or post cows till the old press releases come home) to show where you disagree with Klayman or think him wrong...but how about contacting the source you are criticizing and doing some investigating?

Made in good faith, I assure you. A friendly challenge, as it were. Want to take me up on it?

NOTE TO JOHN ROBINSON: Now we have to use semi-colons for multiple "paging". If you don't quit tweaking this board so much and changing the codes, I'm going to have to start slapping you around. HEH!!

I have felt for a long time that Klayman has deep 3rd party ties (thus the employment of Russ Verney), but this is only a guess.

Now...I really HOPE that "feeling" of yours is completely unrelated to Republican partisanship on your behalf? If an organization is supposed to be a government "watchdog" group, it SHOULD be non-partisan, should it not...for the best interests of the citizens rather than party politics?

As for Verney...Klayman should watch his back. That's all I have to say about that. **wry smile**

"being"?   NO WAY, Merc!  I don't think they are now.  You'll have to ask them.  I seldom post there anymore.   Read my post again...........I said     "months ago when The Guild was still more of an investigative group."

but how about contacting the source you are criticizing and doing some investigating?

I have NO desire to contact Klayman.  I think I've proven I've done more investigating than Klayman's probably done in a while, so I'll pass on that offer.

A friendly challenge, as it were. Want to take me up on it?

I've bitten on your challenges before in the past and you've not even bothered to respond to my reply.

Remember this?

Hey, check this out...so...HOW 'BOUT THAT???

Good, right?

(You're a pip, hon...even though it seems I disagree with you a lot. Hehehe.)

After spending a considerable amount of time researching the article you linked for me, I discovered the following:

Now excuse me for bailing out of this Klayman thread and any more of your challenges, Merc, but I do have some other more important things I have to get done.  Anyway, I've decided that Klayman isn't worth any more of my time.

P.S.

Since Klayman is a friend of yours, maybe YOU could ask him the question I've posed to Askel in my #92.

Thanks to you in advance, also!

I might do that, Mercuria! Like I wrote earlier, I'm fairly new here and hadn't even heard of Juducial Watch. It has never come up in any searches (on Google) on anything I've looked up (which has been quite a lot of things, actually), so I have never had cause to read it until now. I'll have to go back and look at what he's accumulated over there, and that will take some time. I do my own research and never believe only one source. This is my first run-in with Klayman, and I'm sorry to say, I'm not impressed. He manipulated facts, and it's obvious. It would be one thing if he had reported on the whole issue independently, but he was reporting on a WSJ Online article, and twisting everything they wrote. I don't care for that. I will never care for that. I don't care what side of the fence the writer or editor is on.

I'll let you know. (I'm serious; I will.) I don't know how much will be involved, or how much access I'll be able to get from the 'net and other sources I can get to from home. (It doesn't help to be stuck in a bed, and unable to get to the library. My own sister had a baby girl a year ago next month, and I've never met her! My own niece. And they live about 30 - 45 minutes from here. So I'm not making excuses. I haven't been anywhere but medical facilities in a very long time.) If I can do adequate research from home, I'm in. ;-}

Not very nice, Irma. If you -- or any of us -- don't play, who will Askel and Merc have to openingly mock and parade their rightous all-knowing "knowledge" in front of?

Forgot to mention -- if you'll scroll back and read my posts here, and others on the site, you'll see that I very readily admit to any biases. Everybody has them. I believe in giving people/publications/networks a fair shake -- but when I do, and they still fall exceedingly short of fair and accurate reporting, then I feel more than justified in relegating them to "not reliable" status.

Not sneering.

Frustrated and confused.

As a member of The Guild, which has promoted itself as an investigatory ladies' organization, you seem completely apathetic to the idea of actually getting to the nitty-gritty behind Klayman's statements. So I apologized for bothering you with it and sought other Guild members who might be more interested in taking the task.

But now I see that Irma somehow thinks I'm dodging her, and kind of pinches me for not responding on a MONTH OLD THREAD. My non-response was an oversight. I'm kind of busy and can't always respond on every thread where I am pinged. Didn't intend to seem as if I was "slighting" you, Irma.

I am sorry, however, about you ladies' automatic stereotyping me as major-league provocateuse and coward simply because I have differences of opinion with you regarding President Bush.

I've been around here for quite some time, and I think some of my activities have shown that I'm not a nebulous disruptor, nor a "secret enemy" of Free Republic. I'm not afraid to address ANY differences of opinion people have with me, and I'm not someone who dodges threads because they address issues that you somehow think will put me in a sticky situation to justify. That's not how I work, and you should know that - and acknowledge that - by now, rather than getting yourselves in a temper and attempting to paint me as disingenuous.

And, regarding Irma's remark that The Guild was an investigative group "months ago" but maybe not more recently, I have a question for you, Howlin, because I'm honestly curious.

Is The Guild an investigative group or not?

If not, when did it stop being so and what IS its current purpose?

No insult, but I just don't read those threads.

Not a friend, but an acquaintance.

He's never given me any impression other than he acts out of concern for corruption and double-dealing in government.
