Re finding new friends: these are old friends, bound together by history, and we don't "hang out" together; we get together whenever the out-of-towners come to town, 1-2x yearly, and it's usually pleasant, but there was some strife last Nov. and we decided to NOT TALK POLITICS at all that time!
