Do you remeber the terrorist that shot dozens of people in a McDonald's somewhere down south a few years ago? I remember seeing one of the survivors regretting that she had not packed heat in her purse that day. Either we allow those qualified to carry weapons to do so, or the only truly safe flights are those where you know your fellow traveller's background. (Anyone chartering flights now with a prerequisite- "Valid U.S. birth certificate required?") Not too politically correct, so what?

BTW, one of the major wrong convictions many people have is that discrimination is wrong and illegal. Not true. Only discrimination based on creed, color, religion, disabledness and a few other factors is illegal or wrong. That is why your local 7-11 can post a sign "No more than three students in the store at one time." Dianne Feinstein has proposed a 6 month moratorium on student visas. Good on her! Allowing only native born Americans on a charter flight (as a club)is not a type of discrimination that is either illegal or wrong. Nor is focusing on nationals from a certain region of the world wrong either, given who are the terrorists. Yesterday I saw a man flying a foreign flag on his car. I yelled "Go back, we don't need you here!" Count on me to discriminate against every person I see swearing allegiance to a foreign country vis a vis the flying of a foreign flag.

Do you remeber the terrorist that shot dozens of people in a McDonald's somewhere down south a few years ago?Was that particular incident in San Ysidro? Quite a few years ago it was. Not much on the web though. Not much to go by in your reference either though. I don't know if you could call the shooter in San Ysidro a "terrorist" though. Either way, what he was at the end of the day was "dead", if I remember correctly.
Safety & Security
VII. Personal Safety
In July 1984, a deranged lone gunman killed 21 customers and employees at a San Ysidro, California MacDonalds.
Quite some time ago and many forget. I couldn't and wont. A sad day.
