"It's ridiculous to believe Osama Bin Laden could do this sophisticated operation by himself."
Osama bin Laden may well be conducting a private enterprise. A lot of conservatives claim that private enterprise is much more efficient than government. Why is it so hard to believe that a private enterprise could have done this when one has such faith in private enterprise?
I'm not saying a government wasn't involved, what I'm saying is that it is possible this is a private enterprise.
Anyway I'm still waiting for the evidence that Osama is really behind this. I have yet to see it. I don't think I can support an invasion of Afghanistan if I don't have any credible evidence that Osama had anything to do with this.
Which part of this equation do you, and Pat, not get?
On the contrary. It's insanity not to pursue the campaign against militant Islam throughout eternity. Once Osama is dust and the Northern Alliance (or some one else) has replaced the Taliban, it is asbolutely that the western world (and I include Russia and China in this group) work clandestinely or otherwise to destablize every arab government which refuses to recognize the twenty-first century and continues to sponsor anti-western terrorists.
To do otherwise is to acknowledge the inevitability of eleventh-century Islam conquering the entire globe.
I agree that we should be shown something to justify our actions but I don't feel the need to see that proof before ramping up to take our counter action.
