The true test of a nation is not so much that we cry out to God when things are going badly, it's that we cry out to Him and praise Him when things are going well. When things were going well we, as a nation, said that He didn't belong in the schoolhouse, the courthouse, the government's house and for some, even in their own homes. Our government tried to ban Him from all public events.
We should be thankful that He forgives our unfaithfulness and bothers to listen in our time of need.
