Whats with the "[un]churchlady' bit? More blow?
Apparently I have insulted you, so I apologize for painting with too broad of a brush. If you are a proud and/or zealous agnostic, good for you. I'll be happy to enter into discussion with you, as you apparently have enough fire in your belly to be insulted by my broadside against agnosticism.
Therefore I'll cone down my criticism of agnostics to exclude those who have made an honest intellectual and spiritual examination of all the issues of belief. I'll reserve my disdain for those agnostics who act and live according to the idea that
"I don't know if God exists and frankly I don't given a hoot if He does. It makes no difference to me whether God exists, and even if He did it would not change my world view or my actions or my life, for I'm going to live unencombered by any moral code, even one of a Supreme Being or Omnipotent Creator."
Sorry for the insult. I hope this clarifies my disdain for agnostics, and eliminates your umbrage that I insulted you.
Unfortunately, 99% of the agnostics I have met fall into the category delineated by the quote above. I've met few agnostics that sit in the exception to the above category for very long. If you are the exception, I'm glad to hear it (I'm just not sure I'd be proud of it or challenging others in public with it.)
