OK, maybe choosing Abraham was not the best example, but my point was not that Abraham was pivotal. My point is, how can you verify *any* of the events from the Old Testament, starting with Adam down through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, the Prophets and up through the time of Jesus?????? Tell me how one can prove that Abraham went onto a mountainside alone and almost sacrificed his son? Or how Moses went and spoke with God who gave him tablets. Yes, Judaism does not depend on one singular event, but it depends on the events of the OT as a whole. And really, not too many of them are anymore verifiable than the story of Christ.

Again, I agree. Which is why I stated in my #16 that the reasons for my acceptance of Judaism and my rejection of Christianity go beyond what is recorded in scripture.
