I'll give people the ability to customize the style sheet, they'll be able to use anything they want.

In IE you already have the ability to view web pages, including Free Republic, in whatever font you like. I have mine set to Tahoma, but people can choose Windings if they prefer.

Will you teach us how to do it?

Jim, there are those of us who have been playing with fonts and colors for a while. Well, I shouldn't say that, as I am new here. However, I noticed you allow a lot of freedom in fonts and colors..so, I get the hex value for color, and insert it when I am playing with fonts.

Pull up one of the real old pages and show folks how we've progressed :o)

My 2 cents worth - the auto close tags will be nice but the
yellow highlight will almost certainly be way overused for no good reason and most of us will be sick of it in a few days...
I am aiming for post #100 here ....!

Please teach me how to customize my style sheet too, John.
Is there any way to show the first 25,50 or 100 words of responses on Self-Searches (to avoid long download file to see short comment at the end of big threads). Please!!! This will save mucho time and BANDWIDTH.
Glad to see you are always trying to improve FR.

One thing I didn't notice until I fired up IE 6, Netscape (at least 4.x) doesn't give that cool blue line for manually-blockquoted material.
