What's going on with the fonts?

What happened to the fonts around here? Seems when I look at responses, things are blockquoted and in an odd font.

I like the automatic closing of tags(which doesn't seem to be working on this thread but I digress), I like the Highlighting too. But the Blockquote of the entire page looks awful!

As the Sun sets on the rainy Western horizen, a beautiful picture emerges...........a crazy blonde dancing in the rain singing her song, tra lalalala.
