Clinton’s self-serving pinprick responses to terrorism.

Quite the wordsmith...

self-serving ...prick

Neat.

The sad fact is that what little they knew of US history and policies came entirely from the country’s anti-American left, which has painted a grossly dishonest picture of America that neatly fitted in with these terrorists’ anti-American dogma thus blinding them further to the political and military consequences of their actions.

Interesting speculation, but where is the proof? Christopher Hitchens' perceptive observation is apropos: while we can ascribe many motives to the terrorists, no one yet knows what was in their minds.

Enjoyable article. Real good. I think he nails it.

I am thinking of the similarities between this situation and the book Dune. THen he referred to bin-Laden as Mahdi. I believe that term was also used in Dune.

Those Taliban creeps need to be wiped out. For Jesse to even think they are forces to be negotiated with shows how simple he is.

Bin Laden has 17 children with four wives. Must keep an eye on them.

their education has been confined to technical subjects like engineering. Those, for example, who attended US universities learnt nothing of US history or cultural values, confusing topless bars, which some of them enjoyed, with moral decay and lack of will. The sad fact is that what little they knew of US history and policies came entirely from the country’s anti-American left

If the terrorists had gotten degrees in American history from our leftist universities, they would have been even more anti-American.

As far as the theme is concerned, Bush's CIA didn't know this attack was coming, Bush's military couldn't stop it, and Bush himself has dismissed the only action that could immediately stop these terrorist attacks cold -- which is to arm the pilots.

Meanwhile, Bush's FAA has banned the use of steak knives on airline flights. Oh, and our borders still leak like a sieve.

Figure it out, boys and girls. Your government has poorly served you in this entire crisis, except to turn it into a PR extravaganza and a call for massive government spending to do what the last round of massive government spending totally failed to do -- which is protect our country.

Bush is turning into Clinton III, sans the adultery (that we know of).

Oh, and by the way, what subsidizes those American universities which fail to inculcate American values? Your federal government, that's who!

Don't call me a traitor here. Treason is when you betray a country. On the contrary, it is our government (collectively, the politicians) which has betrayed this country, and sought every opportunity for self-aggrandisement at the expense of the American people and their freedom, while leaving our borders open and our airline crews defenseless.

Think about that, when you're assigned your 'voluntary' National ID card.

great article. a little rose colored, in that our problem is so much bigger than anything in ashcanistan alone, but nonetheless pointedly interesting.

The wholesale kidnapping of non-Pashtun males aged between 15 and 30 for ‘military’ service smells of panic because the Taliban knows these males belong to hostile ethnic minorities. These are not the actions of men who believe in their own invincibility.

This statement is non-sensical and smacks of disinformation.

It would be the height of stupidity to arm uneducated simple males who ostensibly are as likely to turn against them as not.

Something smells here...

"and squeeze them psychologically."

This is why I thought the original name for this war should have been "Operation Anaconda". What do ya'll think?

Excellent article! Had not heard of the Taliban dragooning other Muslims to serve in their army's!

Looks like they can be fractured fairly easy.

See some of the other articles using the link in my previous post!

Maybe they learned more at our colleges than we think.

They have been pretty shrewd so far in their planning:

* All attacks within minutes of each other...they knew there would be a lock-down.

* Attack on Tuesday...they knew there would be fewer passengers to resist.

* Attack female flight attendants...they knew male chivalry would draw the pilots from the cockpit.

* Use cross country flights to attack near departure site...they knew the extra fuel would provide more bang for the buck.

* Attack shortly before a full moon...conventional military wisdom favors our responding on a moonless night, which won't occur again until mid-October.

* Perhaps they realized that this is a country so paralized by Political Correctness (remember "Infinite Justice"?) that by the time we can actualy form any response, the national will for a response will be gone.

If this is truly a "War on Terrorism", then why are we waiting for irrefutable proof that Bin Laden led this one terrorist incident on September 11th?

We have proof he was ivolved with the Embassy bombings in Africa, likewise we have proof he was involved in the Cole attack. Weren't those terrorist acts?

We also have proof that the Taliban were harboring and supporting him during these previous attacks. Isn't that "harboring terrorists"? Why do the Taliban still exist?

I hope that Bin Laden is stumped, I know I am.
