Brit Hume on Fox was discussing Jackson's statement with his panel. They did show a video clip of Jackson saying that the Taleban had invited him to come over to talk. Mort Kondrake mentioned that there was a law, (sorry it was a while ago and I can't remember the name of the law...Help?) - Anyway, the law was enacted to prevent private citizens from acting as a foreign diplomat on behalf of the U.S. Government without their permission.

So yes, there is a law. He would have to get permission. I can just see this moron chaining himself to a tent or a camel to stop the U.S. from bombing Afghanistan. Like I said last night when this first came up on Hardball, if Jackson had so much of a hair on his head injured we would have race riots in the street here. Every idiot follower of his would be blaming President Bush. They cannot allow him to go.
