God has not abandoned us, we have abandoned him. This is the default setting when a nation declares it can do without Divine influence.

They know that is exactly what the Bible teaches. They are just embarrassed by it, and hence seek to suppress that truth.I've seen no better words to describe members of the New Butt Order (NBO).

Is it sensitivity toward the families of the survivors that makes us so reluctant to say "God gave us into the hands of our enemies"? One thing for sure is that I'm no better than any of those who lost their lives in this, and it may as well have been me on one of those flights.
Never the less, we have been blessed for years despite our disregard of Him, His laws and despite our idolatry of wealth and pleasure. It is incredible that we haven't yet been utterly destroyed?
Maybe the sudden awareness of our vulnerability will help us to think about humbling ourselves before Him and teach us to depend on Him once again.
As far as I know, the National Day of Prayer was once a National Day of Repentance and Prayer.

Repentance always precedes forgiveness. John the Baptist proclaimed "Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand". There's no doubt that America has a lot to repent of, but that's no reason not to take out the militant Islamics who bombed our city.

May God grant His people the strength to proclaim loudly Gods demands upon a wicked nation, and may He be pleased to bring repentance and revival in a land where darkness reigns. Just what we need. More blame the victim bull from our own home grown mullahs. That fundamentalist Christianity sure is a great patriotic foundation for America. Osama would be proud.
