I remember back in '93, when I was in law school, I interviewed for a summer job at the IRS. I decided to stress my knowledge of foreign languages, knowing that the IRS was interested in issues like transfer pricing that you would think would require the ability to read lots of company documents in foreign languages. It turned out the IRS had no interest in foreign-language skills. That's probably still true today, even though now the IRS should be investigating the tax-exempt status of a lot of these Muslem "charitable" organizations.
