Congressmen Target Arab Americans and American Muslims

Washington, D.C., June 23, 1995 - A coalition of Arab American
and American Muslim Leaders* charged today that Congressmen Bill
McCollum (R-FL) and Gary Ackerman (D-NY) have targeted Arab Americans
and American Muslim communities in an effort to secure passage of
anti-terrorism legislation.

On June 19, the two Congressmen sent copies of the controversial
PBS video Jihad in America to all their colleagues as what they say
is evidence of the terrorist threat in the United States.

A statement to be issued by the coalition at a June 26 news
conference will express deep concern that the video tape is an
error-filled and highly inflammatory attack on Muslims in the United
States.

On behalf of the coalition, James Zogby of the Arab American Institute
said, To use the discredited Emerson videotape to build support for
anti-terrorism legislation reinforces our concern that Arabs and
Muslims are targets of this bill. The effort of Representatives
McCollum and Ackerman belies earlier claims by the legislations
sponsors that Arabs and Muslims were not their targets.

Well, we ought to encourage them, especially with the relevance of September 11th.

I was reading some older news articles which were criticizing this video. They were from the Muslim community and were basically saying "No such thing; it's just a smear campaign"

Well, now it's been proven different and we can see (by that video) what the "extent" of that "network" was. People should have listened back then. BUT, I would also bet that those same ones that were saying "no way; it's a smear campaign" -- will now be saying, "Oh, this is just a small minority and it doesn't represent Islam."

I'm sorry to disagree -- because from all that I see -- it certainly DOES REPRESENT ISLAM. Now, that's the message that people have to get out -- that is -- it does represent Islam.

Kick their arses out. But I say go after groups like CAIR and the AMC, etc. Did you even hear of these groups? And wasn't it myself and dennisw, especially who were yapping about the Jihad coming to a theatre near you? You have to know what to target. A good start is to do a search on Emerson and the name of this video and see all the Islamic groups who opposed and intimidated him. Target these for surveillance and other measures.

You are partially correct. You harped about the jihadists but didn't have the cajones to suggest closing our borders. Dennisw did. I responeded to many of your jihad posts and asked, 'well what should my country (the USA) do about it?' You could never answered that. You seemed more concerned about Israel.

What open borders policy? The AM open border's policy? I've never been for open borders. I've been for smart borders not stupid borders. Look at the video though and you'll see what is being talked about.

Violence
Allah orders Muslims in the Quran to terrorize non-Muslims on His behalf

" I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips of them.
It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah." Surah 8:13-17 (See also Surah 8:60 & 9:14)
Mohammed practiced violence to force people into Islam

Mohammed said, "I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah." Hadith vol. 4:196

Mohammed also said, "Know that paradise is under the shades of the swords." Hadith vol 4:73

According to Islam

Stealing is punishable by the amputation of the hands (Surah 5:41)
Adultery is punishable by public flogging (Surah 24:2)
Drinking is punishable by 40-80 lashes (Hadith 8:770)
Resisting Islam, punishable by death, crucifixion or the cutting off of the hands and feet (Surah 5:36)
These rules will be imposed also on non-Muslims in an Islamic State
