The fault is mine, obviously I didn't give enough information about this particular email list. It has "NYC" in its name. I suspect
thatis the reason for the new members this weekend, and that the political party (whioch appears in an abbreviated form) was a secondary consideration at most. These people are making pathetic attempts to convince us that we didn't see what we saw here. In our own city.
So, "irony" isn't quite the right word. I'm surprised that I'm able to find any humor in the situation, but...the letter's just funny. I can't help it.
