[history]
WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a timely gesture to a key Middle East friend, the Senate on Monday approved an agreement that effectively removes all trade barriers with Jordan.
The measure, already passed by the House, implements an agreement reached between the Clinton administration and Jordan last fall. The Bush administration strongly supports it.

I CANT AFFORD TO SUPPORT THE WORLD!!!!
Calm down, they already get $850 million a year from the ODA. At least now we can buy more stuff from them. If you dont want your money to support Jordan (and I see no reason why you shouldn't) cast your lot with Dick Gephart and the union thugs and don't buy stuff made in that country.

The stupid unions do not even know that they are controlled by the U.N. Everything they do must be approved by the international board.
Which they are NGO's of the U.N. controlled by them.

Free Trade Agreement with Jordan. That's a
good thing, right?
Murray Rothbard, Lew Rockwell, and other Von Miseans believe in free-trade, right?

Everything they do must be approved by the international board.
And you seem to take your marching orders from Fritz Hollings and Robert Byrd. I think I like my odds better with the NWO one world internationals. :)

What's wrong with Jordan, their leader King Assad (is that his name?) seems highly intelligent and a very forward looking man. Do they have a history of terrorizing other peoples or nations? Just like our presence in Japan immediately following WWII, we need to try to help institute democratic institutions in these countries to the best of our ability. That is our best hope, once we've settled this score, for a secure America and world.

This is hardly recent - if you go to the website where this clip comes from, it clearly indicates that the clip is from the floor debate over GATT in 1994. Well, now - guess what? The sky hasn't fallen after all in the last 7 years. Know who the number-one complainant in front of the WTO is?
(drumroll)
It's the USA. That's right - instead of GATT/WTO being used by foreign nations to pervert US law, the US has been busily using it to pry open foreign markets and increase American exports. And that increases your standard of living. Oh, yeah - keep me the hell away from that.
So, you've got an audio clip of Robert Byrd demonstrating his iron grip on reality once again. They should have just told him the WTO wanted to put a regional headquarters in West Virginia, and then watched how quickly he signed on.
So, I'm back to my original question, since this still doesn't explain how such a thing could be used to subvert the Constitution.
