What makes me laugh is the fact that "scientists" who embrace the religion of macro-evolution must FIRST make important epstemological, metaphysical, and ethical _ASSUMPTIONS_ / __PRESUPPOSITIONS__.
They ___ASSUME___ that knowledge is possible, that sense experience is reliable (epistemology), that the universe is regular (metaphysics), and that scientists should be honest (ethics). Hahahaha
Without these *assumptions* ____which they CANNOT VERIFY within the limits of their own methodology_____ scientific inquiry would soon collapse.
Those individuals who embrace the Religion of macro-Evolution while at the same time claiming to be "Christians" are, to put it kindly, confused.
Lots of religious people use the "Christian" label, but their views are quite inconsistent with the beliefs of historic, Scriptural Christianity.
This reminds me of a joke that one of my economics professor told.
Three men are stuck on an island, one is a physicist, one is a chemist and one is an economist. The only food that they have is a can of soup. The physicist says,"I can open that can, I only have to calculate the correct amount of force necessary to break it open." He does his calculations and gathers his material, a rock. After bashing on the can for a while it does not open, so he gives up.
The chemist says,"I can open the can. If we put the can in the salt water a chemical reaction should occur that will cause the seams to rust and then we can open the can." So he puts the can of soup in the surf. After a number of hours nothing has happened so he gives up.
Finally the economist has his turn. He says,"I can open this can of soup. Assume a can opener..."
This just illustrates the point they you can accomplish(explain) anything, IF you start out with the right assumptions.
