why isn't the irish republican army or shining path listed?(obvious ones that come to mind)

I guess these will be incorporated later, if their actions continue once we have crushed these islamic extremists.

If you remeber from President Bush's speach last Thursday, he mentioned that we are at war with ONLY those terrorist organizations with GLOBAL REACH. I'm guessing that's why Hamas, Hezbollah (sp?), and the PLO are not on the list.

In last Thursday's speech, the President said terrorist groups with global reach. He'll deal with regional terrorists on a case-by-case basis.
