Ah, another Quisling that can't wait to learn another occupier's language! So the "freelance consultant and writer" doesn't think that resisting the Germans in WW I was worthwhile? That's the best part of not learning from history, you get to see it again and again.

Wartime requires the men (and manly women) to be part of the muscle and bone of our country's defense. It would be a refreshing change to have the unmanly ones just keep quiet and pay their taxes on time until the danger's gone. Despite their remarkable talents for noisemaking, they turn out to be worse than useless to the real combatants.

"Freelance consultant and writer". I think that means "living in Mom's house and unemployed".

Ah, beautiful.

No, we should not have gotten involved in WWI.

The case for US entry into WW1, IMO was always debateable. (Don't get me wrong, Kaiser Billy was the bad guy, but was making the world safe fro French and British imperialism so good?) However, once the U-Boats killed all those Americans, we had no real choice.

About the only thing Mr. Elkins got right in this screed of half truths was to question US involvment in the First World War. I have long thought that President Wilson's pushing us into the war helped to set the stage for The Second World War. Had the US not gotten involved, the Allies and Central Powers would have fought to a draw in the West and had a negotiated settlement. In the East Germany and it's client states would have had their hands full trying to contain the Bolsheviks in Russia. This would have been much preferable to the Second World War.

The rest of this article is full of (insert explitive here).

While there are some items of concern about the various proposals coming out of Washington, the best way to handle questionable legislation is to let your Represenatives and Senators know what you think of it. And if something stupid does become law, can you say lawsuit? We are a very long way off from WWI levels of hysteria.

As far as calling FR "Unfree Republic". Well this is Jim Robinson's site. He owns it, he can do whatever he pleases with it. If wants to replace the forum with pictures of dancing pink hippos in tutus he can, end of story.

It's no more censorship for Jim to remove any person for any reason than it is for Lew Rockwell to refuse to publish an article by Jonah Goldberg!
