Pro-Taliban protesters from the Jamiet-e-Ullam-e-Islam religious party shout anti-U.S. slogans during a rally in Lahore, Pakistan September 23, 2001. Bush administration officials, mobilizing the U.S. military for an unconventional war against a shadowy foe, dismissed assertions by the Taliban that they had lost sight of Saudi exile Osama bin Laden. But even as Washington rejected the statement by the rulers of Afghanistan, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld admitted that the Islamic militant might be able to evade the U.S. special operations teams and other forces massing in the region. I'm reminded of when Linda Ellerbee was stationed in Tehran around the beginning of the hostage crisis. All these nutbag Muslim extremists were rallying in the streets for the American cameras, but none of them spoke any English. So Linda and the other journalists there taught them a couple of lines.
That night, viewers across America were treated to the sight of young Iranian men dancing around happily while repeating over and over, "Down with IRS! Down with IRS!"

Very professional poster there, in English, spelled correctly. Looks easily flammable.

We had a Pakistani in class who had spent a great deal of time writing formulas on his desktop before the midterm exams began that day. So when the professor rolled in (he was wheelchair-bound) we decided to save him a trip looking at the miscreant's desk and instead each of us smeared the Paki's desk with our palms as we passed by, obliterating his hard work. The look on his face during the exam was priceless.
