I'm reminded of when Linda Ellerbee was stationed in Tehran around the beginning of the hostage crisis. We had a Pakistani in class who had spent a great deal of time writing formulas on his desktop before the midterm exams began that day. So when the professor rolled in (he was wheelchair-bound) we decided to save him a trip looking at the miscreant's desk and instead each of us smeared the Paki's desk with our palms as we passed by, obliterating his hard work. The look on his face during the exam was priceless.
