Good post - glad you didn't give up trying to get it through.

I think Jenna and Barbara's carefree college days are OVER.

"Former Bergstrom AFB. A bunch of us convoyed down from Fort Hood to help clear it out in 1996."

I left Texas at the end of 1994, so.....

"Austin had a very small airport when Bergstrom AFB was being closed. So it made sense to turn the AFB over to the City of Austin as a new Airport. The old airport was in a part of Austin where runways could not be expanded."

You're pretty close. There WAS room to lengthen the one runway (13/31) that was available for commercial jet traffic, but it would have come at the expense of closing a road and taking a huge chunk out of a popular golf course. The REAL problem at Robt. Mueller (say "Muller") was that there was no room to expand the horrendously cramped TERMINAL. Bergstrom, OTOH, had two really nice long parallel N/S runways of around 12000 feet each, and PLENTY of room for a new terminal. The airport's website has a lot of details. Of course, Austin being the liberal mecca that it is, the enviros had their say in its construction, and the website points out "how green" the new facility is.

One of the bennies of the new airport is that the approach and departure paths are not directly over heavily-populated areas, so noise-abatement isn't so much a factor. The approach to Runway 13 at the old field required landing aircraft to descend at low altitude over some of the city's nicer neighborhoods.

We already found one "money man" in the form of a San Antonio doctor

I doubt if I want to do any business with an Arab Doctor now.

I cannot see how being met by 71 Virgins would be appealing.

I'm not sure there is any central power in Islam to "clean up." The mulahs and omams act as supreme authority within the Islamic community. They have been slowly weeding out all who would stand in their way for the last twenty years. What we are seeing now is the culmination of a very carefully planned stragedy by the supporters of Khomeini's vision of a revolutionary Islam to take over the Muslim nations and then directly confront the West. We just haven't been paying much attention to all the terrorism within the Muslim countries. We are now in the third phase of this plan. So we have a lot of catching up to do! (Phase one: gain control of Islamic community and set up cells within the West; Phase two: the Infitada (honed terrorist stragedies and methodolgies); Phrase three: attacks within the USA to provoke American response and pull reluctant Muslim states into the Islamic fold. Phase four is all out war.)

I find it amazing that Texas is apparently a "hub" for these groups....outside of Austin, I think Texas is pretty conservative - with a lot of good ole boys who are proud to be American - it really makes me sick to think that these sobs have been living among us, taking advantage of everything this country has to offer, then attacking us....it's like biting the hand that feeds you. It's also pretty scary that so many people are being detained......that shows how big this is....it worries me about how many HAVEN'T been found yet.....

And let's not forget the Dallas schoolchild who told his teacher on Sept. 10th, "World War 3 will start tomorrow. It will start in the United States and the United States will lose." Whatever happened to that kid? I bet he overheard Uncle Omar talking with cousin Kareem.

Please, there is so much heresay, and if true, your assertion is so importanat, so POST your source. I'd like to know more about THAT one.

They're talking about this. I've heard about this over and over and everyone SWEARS "their friend read about it in the newspaper" or "just heard it on the radio"--yet so far nobody has produced the newspaper article that everyone swears exists.

There was never a name or ethnic group given for Little Edgar Cayce either, if he exists. I have a feeling that this is just one of those stories that gets "bigger" with each retelling. If it were true, the school has the kid's name and address and the parents' work addresses, and the FBI would have even more than that. They wouldn't get far.

Boy in Dallas suburb predicts start of World War III day before attacks

Posted on 09/22/2001 10:47:28 PDT by Spirit Of Truth Jeepers,

given this report, I hope I don't get in trouble for my posted prediction: "....the odds are that this time around, with a reversal below Dow 10,000, we are likely to see a far more severe crisis in the Middle East than anything that has occurred in history. As I have been warning for years, what is coming is a Grand Supercycle crash in the form of 'Saddam's Revenge'".

The DJIA broke below Dow 10,000 on September 6th and has declined every trading day since as the news, I believe related to Saddam's Revenge, has gotten worse and worse.

The Taliban is conservative from the perspective of the primary cause of conflict for the last 500 years, which is Fundamentalist Religious belief vs. Secular Humanism.
From this viewpoint it does not matter which religion, Christianity, Islam, or Marxism, they all oppose free and open intelectual arguments.

(The Taliban are conservative, not liberal!)

The litmus test to determine weather an organization is liberal is… If they kill babies and disarm men then there liberal, no doubt.

These terrorists will quickly learn that they do not get to fly in America anymore.

And they always seem to be flying FIRST CLASS. And I have to save up for a year to get enough for Coach. They are getting a lot of MONAAAAY somewhere. Let's find out where and plug up that monaay hole!!

Whoa now, I'm not saying that we are going to lose; on the contrary, I believe we are going to do some serious butt kicking. I was just pointing out what this kid said which I think reveals what these extremists are thinking in their deluded minds. If he overheard this from some of the plotters or those in the know, it shows they think there is going to be some "holy war" with Islam against the West. They are sadly mistaken and about to find themselves EXTREMELY lonely.

I bet there are cells at the colleges and universities all over the U.S. So many foreigners come over to get an education - maybe that is just a cover. They then have jobs with the universities, access to computers. I would suggest these colleges look over their enrolled students.

you think the colleges are loaded up w/ ME sleeper/sympathizers? check the chinese enrollment at the same schools.
