For the Pope to say that controversies must be resolved by negotiations and dialogue rather than force of arms is about as thoughtful as saying "Fresh air is good for you."
He doesn't get it. He understands nothing of any really profound importance in the spiritual realm. He is PART OF THE PROBLEM, NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION.
