[history]
The Washington Post reports that Saudi Arabia is resisting requests by the United States for use of a new command center at the Prince Sultan Air Base in the fight against terrorism. The Combined Air Operations Center at the base, located about 70 miles southeast of Riyadh, was completed six weeks ago. It is the Air Force's most advanced command and control center in the region, capable of controlling the movements of hundreds of aircraft over thousands of miles. U.S. defense officials said Sept. 21 that this could delay a campaign by several weeks. 1640 GMT 010922 ...

Why are we building high tech air force bases in a country that is hostile to us. Sure the royal family is lukewarm
but it's in a precarious position with the bulk of the population being quite hostile. Obviously many terrorists
are born in S.A. Is this stupid or what? We should have built our air facilities in Israel's Negev desert, and
naval facilities off the west coast of India. What good are our facilities in S.A. if we can't use them?! The
Saudis IMHO need a good spanking. And if that ain't in the cards we should withdraw all forces and aid to this
place.

Actually the hijackers aren't really from Saudi Arabia. Nineteen young Arab men who attended college together back in Swansea, Wales, during 1990 were all murdered and their identities stolen. Not only were these nineteen murdered but their families as well. Similiar with a twentieth terrorist better known as Ramzi Yousef, the organizer of the WTC bombing of 1993 who is sitting in a U.S. prison today.
One of Yousef's aliases is that of a Kuwaiti citizen who, along with his whole family, was kidnapped and carried off to Iraq. Many Kuwaitis returned, but not that particular family. They were all murdered. An Iraqi agent took their family name as an alias. Ramzi Yousef, too, is an alias.
You see, we don't know what his real name is and he won't tell us. We do not as yet know who the nineteen were who died as suicide bombers.
But I'll be willing to bet everyone here on Free Republic that when we do find out, they'll all or most be from Palestinian refugee camps.

No doubt a great deal of the fancy stuff at that base was built or donated by the USA at our expense.
