Two points. First, Clinton never gave arms to the KLA. That was, if you remember, Bob Dole's suggestion -- arm the muslims so they can defend themselves from Serb atrocities in Bosnia, but don't involve the US or NATO directly. Second, there was support for NATO intervention in Canada, Norway, Britian, Holland, etc etc. So while the "Clinton had ulterior motives" hypothesis might be true, but it fails miserably to account for the data. Clinton and NATO might have acted illegally and imprudently. But it's a desperate and dishonest move to say "There were no Serb atrocities. Malosovitch was a peace loving man, etc etc". Engage the facts.

First of all, I did not post this as a "free Milosevic" pitch. Do I think he is a "bad guy"? Yes. Do I think that he was dealing with guys as bad as, or worse than, himself? Oh, yes. Milosevic belongs in prison -- a Yugoslav prison, not the Hague -- which is where he'd be, had he not been forcibly extradited to the Hague. Unlike the author, I do not see Milosevic as "courageous" at all --Milosevic ia a swindling thug, not the "Hitler of the Balkans".

But that was no reasonable grounds for the NATO Bombing of Yugoslavia. In bombing Yugoslavia, Clinton turned the most pro-American ethnic group in the Balkans -- the Serbs -- into enemies. In favor of who? Primarily Islamic terrorists! See article: http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3bb613830a9e.htm And Clinton took these actions illegally, according to our own Constitution.

Most people are surprised to discover, that even by UN estimates, more Serbs were killed and permanently "ethnically cleansed" from their historical homelands with the help of the US, than all the other ethnic groups combined! And these were the terrible "victimizers"? Read "peacekeeper" as "occupier", "peace" as "war", and "victim" as "victimizer" and you will have a more accurate view of Clinton's actions in the former Yugoslavia.

When I was in Greece last year, I discoverd just what kind of "support" NATO had for the bombing of Yugoslavia.

Greece's major source of revenue is tourism, primarily American and British visitors. When Greeks protested in the streets against the bombing, the US State Department and the British government issued travel advisories "against travel to Greece", even though they knew that there was no danger to our citizens. The Greeks were told that the "travel advisories" would be lifted when they quit protesting. In short, the Greeks were starved into submission. Some "support" -- more like extortion.

Clinton and Blair artificially created a new "Hitler" in the Balkans, so they could play "FDR and Churchill" for the masses, and in doing so, opened the gate to Islamic terrorism to the West. Now, God Help Us, we are trying to close that gate. Let's just hope that it isn't too late.
