Meet the B52 Stratofortress
This is the plane that made the Iraqis cower in fear. After the carpet bombing by our B52s, the Iraqi "soldiers" could not wait enough for the US ground forces to "liberate" them.See more pictures on FreeRepublic at:

This is probably THE most feared aircraft in the history of the world! There are several flavors of the B52, but I posted some stats on the "H".
My Vietnamese co-worker tells me, that as a child, he remembers feeling the rumble in his feet from the carpet bombing which took place on the *other* side of the mountain range from where he was.
Thanks to all who participated in the Pictures To Make You Feel Warm And Fuzzy Part 1.
Special thanks to those of you who have served in our armed forces, and those who are currently serving. America owes you the best.

Would love to see these adorable babies turn Afghanistan into Trashcanistan!

Thanks. With next month's military airshow just cancelled for security reasons and "Intl. Combat Arms" having ceased publication back in '89 or so when "peace broke out"...well, I like the pix. It helps put my mind at ease when thinking about old friends and what they'll be doing in the weeks and months ahead.
Please keep posting.

I just added you to my bump list. Thanks! I'm inclined to post the things that do the most damage first.
I'll get to the land and sea parts later.
