After leaving diplomacy Young supported the Nicaraguan Marxists through his contacts with the Bank of Credit and Commerce International -- A Pakistani-dominated bank. Carter himself often flew in a BCCI plane, despite warnings he received that the bank was corrupt and that he was being used.
