'West Wing' to Air Attack Episode (updated)

LOS ANGELES (AP) - NBC's White House drama "The West Wing" will respond to the East Coast terrorist attacks with a special episode written by series creator Aaron Sorkin, the network said Friday.

Production on the episode, titled "Isaac and Ishmael," has begun and post-production will be hurried to make the Oct. 3 broadcast (9 p.m. EDT), NBC said.

"Aaron is a brilliant writer who has something he wants to say. We have great faith in his abilities to interpret last week's events in a manner that will make this an important hour of television," NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker said.

Details of the story were not released, but the network said it will deal with "some of the questions and issues currently facing the world in the wake" of the Sept. 11 attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center.

The drama's planned season premiere, "Manchester, Part I," has been moved to Oct. 10 to accommodate the special show.

The Emmy-winning series follows the political and personal lives of fictional President Bartlet (Martin Sheen) and his staff.

Those are "magic mushrooms" ( hallucinogens ). West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin was arrested on April 16 at an airport for drug possesion. He had a bag of these "shrooms"( Click here for how that ended ). So the libs think we are supposed to take the ideas of a man on drugs as useful.

I was thinking the same thing: this whole mess will be solved through diplomatic means and the two sides learning that they are all the same underneath it all. Not an additional drop of blood will be spilled. What a socialist wet dream!

I'd have answered earlier, however, I couldn't access replies for awhile.

As noted, they are peyote. Some Indian tribes used them in religious ceremonies.

A chap named Carlos Castaneda claimed he met an Indian shaman who revealed to him all sorts of " magic", such as transforming himself into an animal, through the use of peyote. Carlos wrote several books about his "trips" with the shaman.

I've heard of Castaneda. Isn't there some sort of spiritualist school having to deal with him? Maybe I'm just confused.
