What I truly love about this country is all the little freaky freaks. You know, the pacifists, the tree huggers, the envirowhackos, the left in general. For 40 stinking years, these people have taken the Constitution of the United StateS, misconstrued it, misread it, taken it out of context when compared to the lives of the Founders, and in general ran this country straight into the ground. And the one time, the ONE TIME in my lifetime that this nation has truly been at a crisis, needed every man, woman, and child supporting and defending the US, these losers just come out of the woodworks with their 'give peace a chance' and 'try love, not war' lame 60s mantra. There are over 5,000 dead Americans under tons of rubble in New York caused by actions from a foreign power. The Constitution actually does cover war from foreign nations and these losers want us to sit on our hands and just give in to Kofi Annan and his one World Government hoping he'll fix it while more innocents are at risk. Yeah, I know that'll work. Exactly how many times has it been the UN has actually done something good again?

...these losers just come out of the woodworks with their 'give peace a chance' and 'try love, not war' lame 60s mantra....

Mantras like these were originally developed to support forces seeking to undermine the United States -- that is to say, the security of the American people. They continue to be used for that purpose -- and that purpose alone. To intone such mantras is to declare oneself a member of some species of totalitarian and, therefore, an enemy of everything that America holds most dear. It really is that simple.

These mantras substitute rhetoric for reality and demonstrate a failure (or refusal) to come to grips with real circumstances that gravely endanger the nation. They also clearly demonstrate a profound lack of moral clarity (as Bibi Netanyahu put it in his astounding speech to Dan Burton's Government Oversight Committee Thurday afternoon) and high moral seriousness. They are relentlessly irrational -- yet appeal to the very people who claim to be the really "deep thinkers" of our culture: People who are our self-appointed leaders and even would-be masters, the "expert class."

I have seen more truth and high moral seriousness displayed today by the local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, who in many of the towns surrounding where I live are out en masse on street corners of busy intersections, bearing scores of flags and placards lettered "God Bless America" -- even in quite "liberal" towns. There are many, many people who live in the Greater Boston area who understand the gravity of the situation in which America now finds itself, and who have rallied to maintain the public consensus behind the Administration. Most people around here understand that we really are at war. Even people who voted for Kerry, Kennedy, Meehan, Frank, etc.

Seems to me there is more wisdom in a humble, middle-class Boy Scout in, say, Stow, Mass., these days than in all the hallowed halls of Academe, Cambridge, NWO. Do these latter folks realize that they are giving aid and comfort to the enemy by attempting to divide our society and undermine our sense of national purpose? That purpose being, of course, the survival of the American way of life -- that very way of life that nurtured these lefty twits and gave them every advantage they have.

IMHO, these people are terrorist scum themselves. We have to tolerate them, for they have civil liberties the same as every other American. We have to tolerate these braying asses; but we don't have to condone what they have to say. What these folks most need to sober them up is a good, stinging retort on the basis of the logic of their arguments (or I should say, lack thereof), and a stinging rebuke for their shameless hostility to American values and our way of life.

A counterdemonstration clearly is in order. Hope to be there with you on Monday. best, bb.
