A plurality of New Yorkers want to see the towers rebuilt.
Memorials may be nice, but this country is about building, and moving ahead, not wallowing in our sorrows.
Let the past be the inspiration to move ahead, so those who have suffered an died will not have died in vain, or for nothing more than a nice park.

Hank, the petition is for the heros on flight 93 that crashed in Western PA. It was just a strip mine.... I think its very appropriate.
It's not about the WTC.

Rebuild em bigger, better, and with anti-aircraft missiles on the roof

BTW, I'm all for moving on, although its been hard as hell to do this past week. But, I think we're mostly getting there. I think rebuilding the WTC bigger and stronger is definately the thing to do.
Even there, a bronze statue in front of the buildings depicting the firefighters would be awesome.

I'm torn on the rebuilding question myself. I can sure see both sides of that one. One part that is bothering me is that (and sorry... don't wanna get morose here but there's just no way around it...) The site is yielding very little in the way of actual remains. The thought is that since the site is still burning and still very hot it is, sadly, becoming something of a crematorium. There may be many that are never found because the remains are simply gone. If the place is going to be rebuilt... I makes the new building just a little bit, well, creepy. Thoughts?
