This is a free country so long as you just answer all the questions and do as you're told. Our government is doing everything they can to make us free. Don't you want the Fatherland er.. the Homeland to be free? Don't you love Mother America er.. your country?
There is a crisis. We have been attacked. Anyone who asks questions is a traitor. Shut up and follow orders so you will be free.

You too? I didn't want to be the first one to throw it out - but I swear the first thought that hit me when
I heard the words "Homeland Defense" (weeks ago, I believe) was "Fatherland."
Glad to know I have company in my paranoia. ;^)

"Our government is doing everything they can to make us free safe." Heck, doesn't even matter if we are safe, as long as we feel safe. Anything to get rid of the fear, apparently.

Is not it fascinating that we fought so many wars with so little governmental structure? This is bigger than anyone's imagination-the entire gov supplanted with one agency & reduced to one cabinet post plus the president. Welcome to the Fatherland. I saw the el-cheapo version of that novel in the made for TV movie recently & can't avoid all the images, the atmosphere of total oppression, complete security. The film was shot in Prague-that must have helped provide prople with the proper understanding of total oppression. The only other time I've been soo affected was upon completion of my first reading of Ayn Rand's ANTHEM ( 12th grade ). No wonder guns & ammo are flying off the shelves. Look at www.homelandsecurity.org & tremble.
