If you read those laws on the books dealing with that, it's to punish the attacker more, and to deal with society's feelings that pregnant women must be protected more (because they are considered vulnerable) than regular women. It's not a statement saying one way or the other what defines a life. I dont' want to say it's a feel good law or anything, but it's one of those where the DA can get a harsher punishment than one normally could.
Mother Theresa said, "The fruit of abortion is Nuclear War". People mocked her for saying such an apparently silly thing. Unfortunately I think it was more of a Prophecy than a statement.
But if you think about it it really makes sense, if the slaughter of the innocents breeds such a contempt for the value of human life then euthanasia sounds merciful and nuclear war can even be rationalized. When it gets to that point it's just a push of a button away.
Many people said [to you on this thread], "Yeah what's you're point?"
"Sing Louder, Sing Louder" That is a quote from a German lady I know that was with me at Mother Angelicas. Where does that quote come from and what does it mean?
She lived in Germany during World War II and spent time in a concentration camp because of her Father's refusal to bow to the Nazis. She told me that there was train track that ran near a church in Germany and it would stop occasionally to herd in more Jews and Christians. One Sunday the train stopped and the congregation could hear the moans and cries of the people that had been trapped inside. Apparently it was so horrendous that the people inside the church were literally getting sick until someone screamed out "Sing Louder, Sing Louder" so they could drown out the horrific cries and moans.
So for everyone that thinks it's ridiculous to make a connection between abortion and the character necessary to lead public office or maybe to even avoid Nuclear War, I say "Sing Louder, Sing Louder"
Maybe you won't hear the cries of the innocents being slaughtered in our Land. May God have mercy on our Souls and our Country.
