It is one thing for a sect to believe what it wants to ; however , to demand that they, and only they have the " truth " is NOT what this country stands for. In this time of war, with your fellow FREEPERS havig recently lost loved ones and friend, it only piurs salt into raw, bleedig, open wounds, saying that GOD sent the attackers or allowed them to attack because we , as a nation are sinful. Not every religon believes that sort of thing. Not every Christian sect believes that either.

I could write several threads worth of absurdities previously believed in and horrors committed by Popes, and Roman Catholics. I shan't do that. Just don't expect people to put up with having others try to shove their beliefs down their throats.

I know something about visions, sitngs, and supposed weeping Madonas. Many of the recent ( those that I remember reading about or see on T.V. reports ) weeping Marys and and sitings, have been poo pooed by the Vatican. I know that the Fatima prophecies have been kept secret, and then some of them proclaimed TRUE after the fact.

This is NOT the timw, nor place for proslestizing . We are a pluralistic society and I, for one, am getting VERY offended by all of the kooks claiming to have the ONLY wod on this. How would you like it if some extreme Islamics got on here telling you their views, and declaring that they were the ONLY ones who were rght ? Think about that, before you , or anyone else decide to post again.

I'll say it again. ABORTIONS AND INFANTICIDES HAVE BEEN DONE FROM TIME IMMEMORIAL. GOD HAS NOT NUKED ANY COUNTRIES BECAUSE OF THAT EVER.

GOD would have spared Sodom, if ten good men could have been found there. Are we to now believe that there aren't ten good men in all of the USA , so GOD has punished thousands of people , whether they were good or not ? Then why was Pearl Harbor bombed ? Abortion wasn't legal then. Was abortion legal in Japan, in the '40's ? They are the ONLY country that has ever been nuked.

I pray for those who lost their lives, I pray for their families. I also pray for those aborted children, the mothers who had the abortions, and mostly for our country to overturn Roe V. Wade.

As far as prosletyzing, well, just gotta do it. You know, the Holy Father says its our J-O-B. I happen to think the world needs it, and there seems to be alot of it going around lately. Jesus even tells us to do it. If your a Christian its your job too.

I didnt think you'd believe what Mother Teresa said, or Our Lady, you dont have too, I'm not shoving it down anyones throat. Its just what I believe. And I try to do it the way its supposed to be done, with love and gentleness. I'm not always good at that part but I'm working on it.

I like some of the things that President Bush has done to move us away from abortion. Other things hes done I dont like. I'll keep praying he keeps us going in the right direction. Mr. Ridge may very well be a good pick for defending the home front but his stance on abortion is in direct opposition to the church to which he says he belongs. Something is wrong with that.

Exactly. Abortion, like war is relative to humans. God didn't tell anybody one way or the other what to do. Humans do what they will, and God will judge us, one by one. I find it amusing that some people somehow profess to know what God wants, whether it's waging war or whatever.

You don't hear any of us running around saying the Taliban and the radical elements of the Right-to-Life movement could see eye-to-eye on a few things, because that would be a tacky/cruel thing to say. For people to be bring up somebody's abortion stance when it has no bearing on the matter is ridiculous.
