Now, because of the mistakes Congress has made, they want to make laws for our freedom, constitution, and bill of rights to be taken away from us. It's time to vote all out of office regardless of party of affiliation. And do not give money to a party ,give it to an individual you like.
Are you opposed to illegal immigration?
I am opposed to all U.N immigration treaties go read them!!
You didn't answer my question. Are you opposed to illegal immigration in the United States?
The link I gave you will educate you.
What is this homeland sh!t? What happened to the United States?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
So, then, how are the methods to detect and deport illegal immigrants any different than the methods to detect and deport/detain/fry extra crispy the terrorists among us?
How do we detect illegals/terrorists without a national ID card? How do we detect illegals/terrorists without racial profiling? Combating terrorism and illegal immigration requires very similar methods. But some folks are all gung-ho to take on illegals but yell NAZI! when we try to take on terrorism. I find that rather strange.
There is nothing about the U.N. or abolishing the Bill of Rights in this report. It is a management analysis of how the Federal Government can most efficiently undertake the planning and decision making required if our country is to be ready to meet attacks on our country.
The report makes no policy recommendations at all. It outlines a way that the government can make better policy decisions, and get decisions implemented.
It makes two specific recommendations:
1. That there needs to be a "focal point," that is, a governmental entity with the specific responsibility to coordinate policy-making among various federal agencies related to terrorism.
2. That before we go riding off madly in all directions, we take an overall look at possible areas of threat, rank them in order of importance, and outline options for responding. This is called a threat and risk assessment.
This could actually lessen threats to basic freedoms. The report mentions Senators who worried "that federal programs to combat domestic terrorism are being intitiated and expanded without the benefit" of such an assessment. That is exactly the sort of shooting from the hip that produces bad laws that whittle away at freedom.
The report then tries to describe what issues have to be addressed in a comprehensive homeland defence strategy. It concludes by reviewing past GAO reports pointing out weaknesses in existing security and in the planning and implementation of new measures. Even here it does not suggest particular policies but only areas which need attention.
This is an approach which makes it far less likely that we will sell out our freedom in defending against terrorism. The real danger is Congresscreatures trying to play "who's the toughest" and passing ill-considered bills just to make points back home, and individual agencies playing on them to get their powers increased in irrelevant directions.
President Bush's decision to adopt the main recommendation of this report is another sign that he is the man who's putting the Executive back into "Executive Branch" after 8 years of the Focus Group President.
The latest version of the Hoover administration got derailed for 8 years. The New World Order has a lot of catching up to do on their schedule.
Through all the massive documentation on this department already, I can't seem to find Civil Defense-type programs mentioned or a well-armed citizenry.
I'll like it more if I see these elements 'cause nobody asked me if I'd like 'em in the first place.
