"Geez, you're right...I just looked there. It reminds me of something...did you ever see the movie, "Play Misty for Me?"

Great movie, especially the music... {;~)

"lot's of things missing."

Pity, do something about what's missing.

"I too felt Bush was flat early on..."

Let's see, GWB won the primaries, won the debates, won the election and won the peoples hearts with a 90% approval rating...it doesn't sound like the accomplishments of a flat guy...get a grip!

GWB has always been comfortable in his skin and rises to the occasion, whatever it is!

GWB is a doer and not a talker, he's a leader that knows how to get things done, he's my kinda guy!!

PS His speech last night was a kicka$$ speech, the best I've ever heard a president give, I'll be 71 next month, I've head many presidents in my lifetime!

"...I have a question. Has anyone but me noticed a change in his voice? It really struck me both times."

I have wondered exactly the same thing...what is up with Rush's voice?

Anyone know?

Oh Deb......

Here are the exact words:

My friends, I was delirious all night long following President Bush's address to Congress and the nation. I was in such eager anticipation of the president's speech, that I couldn't get to sleep, such was the amount of information in my head. In the time after Thursday's program, but before the president's speech, a member of the George W. Bush speech writing team that I know very well called me. This member said that the team had evolved a philosophy, a theory and mode of behavior for the speech.

This plan was very simple: Let Bush be Bush. Now, I have been telling you for months, ladies and gentlemen, that the George W. Bush I know is not the George W. Bush that we've been seeing. I've said that it's not a huge difference, but everybody that's been looking at Bush since the campaign and in the early days of his presidency has had some doubts about him. They've worried over his use of language, flubbing of words and this sort of thing.

If there was ever a speech in time that was needed, it was that speech on Thursday night - and I have to also admit to you that it was a speech that connected personally to me, as I know that it connected personally to many of you. I have been lamenting on my program the fact that the bully pulpit has not been utilized sufficiently. I have make no bones about it. I don't hide behind any pretense of mistake. I have said so.

So Deb, from the man himself, please explain where I've lied.
