Hillary Panned for Sour Demeanor during Bush Speech

Hockey fans at Philadelphia's Rangers-Flyers game Thursday night were so enthralled with President Bush's speech that they actually forced the cancellation of the game's third period to continue watching on the arena's Jumbotron.

But seated in the House chamber, New York Senator Hillary Clinton was rolling her eyes, looking bored and remained seated as her colleagues gave Bush one standing ovation after another.

Friday morning her disengaged demeanor was being roundly panned by talk radio hosts everywhere.

"You know why she reacted that way," WABC's Curtis Sliwa told his partner Ron Kuby."She just saw her hopes to run for president next time around go up in smoke."

Down radio dial in New York, nationally syndicated talker Don Imus was even harder on the former first lady.

"She was disgraceful," Imus told his partner Charles McCord. "She looked irritable, rolling her eyes and talking."

Imus didn't care much for Sen. Clinton's post speech comments either. "I mean, she was going out of her way to point out how she'd spent the entire week down at ground zero, which is not true, by the way. But I think we know what that's all about."

Imus then turned his ire towards Mrs. Clinton's husband. "I just thank God that he's not still the president, that's all, because we didn't have to endure the self aggrandizing display of lip-biting and head wagging and 'I love you' to some bimbo in the balcony."

Do you suppose the commie Hillary forgot her turban last night? New Yorkers should check around the next time they go to vote. The distain of this woman is almost too much to take on a day when our country is hurt and bleeding. Many of us put it on the line gratefully, in past wars, and she was an insult to all Americans last night....

Yes, Justice Breyer was there, in addition to Reinquist, O'Connor, Thomas, and Scalia. Kennedy, Stevens, Ginsberg, and Souter were not present.

Hillary didn't have the guts to go on Meet the Press or similar programs for fear of being asked tough questions.

But after 9/11 she was all over the tube. She knew no one would dare ask her specific questions about any of her many festering scandals.

Exactly - this is what is so strange about her now (well, ONE of the many things about her that is strange). During her Senate campaign, she ONLY did those carefully-scripted rare television appearances. Now, turn on any network (at any time of day) and there she is... apparently trying to pass herself off as the Savior of New York.

Can somebody post the photo of Hitlery and Chelsea, dressed in Arab garb, perched atop a camel.... It was taken during one of her many world tours.

No wonder why Bush didn't want to touch her hand:

You left one out:

4)He knows where it's been (sure, it was in a land far far away long long ago, but it was there AT LEAST once...)

I am glad other's beside FR are making a noise about her rudeness. I hope some newspaper's make a big deal out of this. I did not see her at the end of the speech. I thought she had ran out to avoid GW and get to a microphone before anyone else could.

Hey...give women some credit. Some of us have the ability to dissect information intelligently. I may be a lurker here....but statements like that are inflamatory and totally out of line.

It is the same at all SOTU speechs too. There are always a few people missing. This is in case something happens and most of the government is wiped out all at once. That way someone in the chain of succession is still alive to assume the Presidency.

Schumer is supporting the President at this time because it is good politics for him to support the President at this time. I don't think he has ambitions other than Senate leadership, so supporting the President has no down side for him.

But HILLARY! does have Presidential ambitions. And HILLARY! is too smart to make such a rookie mistake. I think her disdain was calculated and intentional. I think she realized that there is no percentage for her to join the crowd supporting the President. If things work out, there will be plenty of people to reap the political rewards, and she is way down on that list. If she wants be President some day, her only chance is to hope for a debacle, and then be able to say "I told you so". Unfortunately, that means that she has to choose between her own ambition and the good of the Nation. But she's a Clinton, so there really is no question how she will choose.

Please trust me, not all women will vote for Hitlery. As a matter of fact, I know of no woman who would vote for that worthless piece of trailer park trash.

Well, I'm a woman and I also would NEVER vote for Hitlery. My family and close friends certainly would not either. However, I ran into MANY New York City women* who DID vote for her, and women from other states that "admire her so much". Believe me, they're out there! (*I'm excluding my NYC FReeper friends in this group, of course!)

she's already changed her tune... she must have heard about those 91% polls... Paula Zahn on CNN was just interviewing her, and you would NOT think she was the same person who listened to the speech lastnight rolling her eyes... she had nothing but positive things to say about "the President" this morning... lastnight she showed just how much she lacks in grace...
