Tampa Channel 8 to Not Allow On-Screen Personalities to Wear Red, White, Blue Ribbons
MJ Morning Show, Tampa, FL

My wife just informed me that MJ Kelly, of the MJ Morning Show, broadcast in Tampa and St. Louis, just stated that Tampa's television Channel 8 (an NBC affiliate) has forbidden their on-air tv personalities to wear red, white, and blue ribbons, because they're (the station) going to question Bush's actions.
Has anyone else heard this?

From media training seminars I've attended,,, I know that Red doesn't photograph well by TV news cameras,, nor do stripes, plaids & herringbones. I'm MOST CERTAINLY not trying to give these guys a pass,,, just offering a possible answer to this,,, knowing some ditzy newsreader might not understand the techy side, and try to make a mountain out of a molehile.
Some things that happen in times like these are totally explainable, if we'll only listen for the real answers instead of jumping to conclusions.
On the other hand,,, if the decision is based on politics,,, I say we should mail little envelopes of ribbon to the station,,,,, just to remind them some of us disagree with such wimpa$$ stuff.

Nope, I'm wide awake, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
I stand by my thoughts. If they want a war ... bring it on. With the way things are going, we're as ready as we're going to be in the near future; so, let's rumble.
You, meanwhile, can hide in the closet if you're so inclined. I'm sure the big bad terrorists won't get you there.

I forgot to post the most direct way to get in. Call the Tampa number @ 813-221-5788.

ditto...
what does it take to get action. Apparently not Pan Am, the WTC bomb, The Cole...
If nothing else (and part of me EXPECTS nothing else) the open borders will be looked at.

America is being destroyed from within and its because of actions like these. I believe in diversity and having consideration for others views but is this not America? Where else could you go and feel as free and where else could terrorist go and train on the soil that they are about to attack? That is until last Tuesday September 11,2001.If these companies located in America and doing business here dont want to stand for America what do you expect. I forsee in the future and uprising and maybe even a group going on attack against these blood suckers. I for one will not watch or participate with those who feel no loyality to America if I know them but these SOBs are like terrorist themselves they are in our midst and have taken over our centers of learning, communications and in some cases our own cities. It is time to wake up Amercia this is a problen that needs addressing. We are being attacked on our own soil and we have traitors within.Flush out the vermin and take action.

Use their dime. Here's their 800 number. Hopefully it will work for people who are calling from out of state. 1-800-348-9352.
And I got to thinking that if we all leave messages for the jerk who made this decision things might not change. So, here's the name of the General Station Manager: Eric Land.

BlueLancer, I'm not talking about hiding in a closet.
Bush, has the right idea. He is being methodical about his approach. You sound weary and tired and just want to blow up things. It's time to back Bush and his actions and be patient while the stage gets set.

I just called and the guy who answered said they are getting flooded with phone calls. I said "GOOD, YOu should be!" I told him no one needs permission to wear the colors, this is America. I also said this is one of the worst things I've heard since the attack.
