Greetings and Good Morning Lovely Guild members!! May your day be blessed. The sun is shining here and I am off to a concert tonight. May President Bush be wise in his words spoken to the American people tonight.

This drawing deserves to be put on a special stamp issued by the US Post Office with proceeds going to the victims families. JMHO.

Thanks for the ping - the justified are in a far better place than we.....

I absolutely believe that President Bush believes that he was chosen by God to be our leader at this time. It is that belief, together with the belief that he is in the hands of the Lord, that enabled him to accept the awesome challenge of running for president against all the liberal/socialist forces in our country.
He knows and Laura knows that he is needed. Otherwise, I do not think they would have asked their daughters to make the sacrifices in their life which having their parents in this position will entail.

Yes, it is true that a conversation with Rev. Graham was the turning point for George W. Bush.
As I remember the narration, Rev. Graham was a family friend of George and Barbara Bush, and was visiting them at their Maine home one summer.
It was related they were walking on the grounds and George W. was led to the Lord.
The rest is history.
Perhaps someone can locate the text of something said about GWB at the Inauguration,
by a black pastor of a Texas (Houston?) church!
(cannot recall if it was at the swearing in, or at the luncheon that followed.)
It was a blockbuster, prophetic about our President!
I am out the door shortly for a doctor's appointment and will look to see if it has been found upon my return.

It might speed the search to find the name of the black minister who spoke at last week's prayer service. He was the same one who provided the invocation at the inauguration.

Thanks for the ping. Lovely picture of our Lord over NY. I'm having lunch with MudPuppy today. Going onto the Marine Base today, should be interesting. All military bases are on high alert. I am to expect a long wait while they check out my car, (better go clean it out,LOL) I'll check back in later.

It was the benediction, not the invocation which was delivered by Rev. Franklin Graham.
Are these the words to which you refer?
And, of course, O Lord, let your divine favor be upon President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Welsh Bush and their family. We decree and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell
Inauguration of President George W. Bush

Conservative values and morals will never fail. Our forefathers got it right. It's the hypocratic values of the left that are crumbling and deteriorating. They have mangled and re-constructed our constition to fit their agendas. Americans have had enough.
I read a really good article, which I will try to find and post here, that talked about the wake up call we all received, it was on this very idea you posted, Timeout. It was fantastic.

I love the drawing - both the light version AND the darker one. I wonder how old the child is. Love how the Statute of Liberty is in there, and all the "people rising up to meet their Saviour" just captures it so beautifully.

What will Hillary! wear tonight at the speech? Will it be her canary yellow outfit, her robin's egg blue outfit or her black pantsuit? If it is her black pantsuit, will she wear her orange sweater, blouse and undersweater or will it be the hot pink sweater, etc.
I would imagine VP Cheney will not be there tonight but I am curious as to why we have not seen Mrs. Cheney. Perhaps she is sticking close to her hubby making sure he eats and rests properly. I remember last year when he was picked as the VP candidate, in an interview someone asked her is she would be campaigning on her own and she replied, that no she wanted to be with "Dick". This is another great love story. What a life those two have had together.

HLL and CC, thank you so much for that drawing. So touching and beautiful. I love childrens' art.
LadyX, thanks so much for the email you shared. I hate it when non-believers blame God for allowing something to happen. This explains His love for us very well.

Actually, no, Timeout, and I remember that at the Inauguration itself now.
It has to be what the Reverend said AT THE LUNCHEON in the Capitol after the swearing in that so got my attention!
I'll do a bit of sleuthing this afternoon to see if I can find it.
(Doctor's analysis - I'll live another day!)
